Amethyst "Flower"

This exquisite specimen is amethyst quartz arranged into a wavy plate-like pattern. Unlike its more famous "cousin" that shows short, dark purple points within a geode, this amethyst is actually a form commonly known as "flower" amethyst. Petite crystals blanket the surface of this delicate thin plate, top and bottom. Additionally, numerous crystals display a stunning light lavender color, intermingled in a random pattern throughout a bed of clear and frosty crystals. Obviously, these features demonstrate the diversity of amethyst in general, and the highly unique and rare character of this amethyst in particular.
