Clear Quartz Cluster

This very pretty cluster is blanketed with frosty, tallish needle points, with one point in particular rising above the others. Mostly translucent, this compact cluster of needles contains several surfaces that display a druse effect (an incrustation of small crystals on the surface of a mineral). These shiny crystals rest on a very sparkly and thin white base of crystalline material --- a beautiful "forest of light" display piece from the Jiangsu Province in China.
