Wonderful 4 million year old specimen! This petite Mercinaria clamshell is hollowed in the center, surrounded by the totally intact perimeter (both sides), with a see-through area naturally carved through both sides of the clam. Beautifully clear yellow calcite crystals are attached to the top and down one side of the hinged side, complementing other fossilized material also present. Mined in the waters off the coast of Okeechobee County, Florida. Display stand included.
