Extra-large and Absolutely Regal! This imposing piece of Brazilian clear quartz was sculpted into a flame-cut design, an asymmetrical shape that one would associate with a candle flame. The cut sides twist and curve, with each surface carefully polished to a high luster. Perhaps the most striking features are the ones found inside the flame: the inclusions themselves. Clear "windows" are available through which the interior can be viewed; but it is the complex pattern of sheet-like fractures (foils) that give this quartz its glorious and noble nature. Fantastic rainbows explode into a kaleidoscope of prismatic colors, from top to bottom, that can be seen across a room. Photos cannot possibly do these rainbows justice. Intermingled are desirable phantoms and wispy veils, and even a splash of green chlorite. Near the top of the flame is a section of gray matrix that sprays silver and golden rutile needles in all directions. In sunlight or lamplight, this sculpture radiates brilliant light rays and prisms of color. For the discriminating collector, this magnificent specimen is a rare, truly unique masterpiece that will shine in any venue. You will not find another like it. Breathtakingly beautiful!
